BN launched "Semboyan Dibunyikan' & website
GEORGE TOWN: Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) today launched the "Semboyan Disembunyikan" (Sounding the Siren) program using the 'attack and explain' approach. Its chief Teng Chang Yeow said the program aimed at explaining to the people the programs and activities organized by the state BN as well as issues through the conventional and new media in response to allegations made by the opposition.
"We will give sufficient and clear explanation to the people. Then it is up to the people to judge for themselves... whether we have fulfilled our promises made to them or not," he said at the launching of the program, here.
Teng said the program would also be launched in all the divisions and polling centers and this would go on for a month. He said besides that, BN state leaders would be going to the ground to distribute leaflets on the real situation in Penang under the administrative leadership of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng. Teng said to make the people closer to the state BN leadership, its website had been improved with the addition of Mandarin and Tamil to the Bahasa Melayu and English used.
He said the launching of 'Sounding the Siren' was symbolic of Penang BN's preparedness in facing the coming 13th general election, and it would be focusing on youths and housewives.
"We are ready to 'go to war' with the confidence to win. I want all to move forward from now," he said.
